Fig Leaves

Theological backgrounds, culture, traditions, hurts and wounds of the past can't withstand His light. He is bigger and brighter than ALL of our issues {that is a reason to sing praises}. I am learning this fact in so many different ways.

There really is a healing for any ailment that has ever existed. Love heals. And love is a person. This is goooood news.

He is showing me that He wants to come in and improve parts of my life that I thought were alright. Those things that you just sweep under the rug because they aren’t pressing issues. Those things that you would say “don’t really bother you.” Just like Adam & Eve did, I hide behind fig leaves. These fig leaves that I use to try to protect myself really only hinder me.They shield my heart from God's presence. This means they shield me from true freedom. Fears, struggles, people who have hurt you / unforgiveness, anxiety, doubts…  He is showing me that His love is greater than all of those things. It really is. Where HIS SPIRIT is there is LIBERTY. Liberty from all of those things that bog you down. I just looked up liberty in the dictionary and it says “the quality or state of being free." Freedom is described as the absence of necessity or liberation from restraint of from the power of another.

He will and wants to free me from anything that is keeping me from His love. ANYTHING. Whatever pops into your head when you think of something that stands in your way. How loving of Him. He can set me free from my own negativity, my fear of rejection, and who I think I should be. The Lord is showing me more & more how big His heart is for His people. It's full of pure love.

Addie & Cat. Too much love for these two and this is only half of the family.

Feels like home to me.

Noah!

Sweet Addie

This is called hong cha (red tea) and it's the closest thing to sweet tea. And poporn, obviously. The popcorn lady might be a little concerned about the amount of popcorn. Kathleen too.

I get to do life with some pretty cool peeps

Fraser. His crocs match his scoot.
